A recent AA Ireland survey revealed that only 10% of over 1,000 customers plan to go fully electric with their next car, with half doubting that EVs are environmentally superior. Despite these challenges, Mr. Ryan remains focused on Ireland's climate action plan and international targets.

The government's target of one million EVs by 2030 seems ambitious, as new EV registrations have fallen by 16% this year. However, there are over 125,000 EVs registered, and this number is expected to rise as prices drop.
